Senior Bookkeeper

Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting for an experienced AAT Qualified bookkeeper to join a growing and sought-after accountancy firm in the heart of East Sussex. They are looking to expand their team due to an uptake in clients, which has caused the need to strengthen the team. You will be working closely with the Client Managers to manage a portfolio of clients, requesting records, carrying out bookkeeping on a variety of softwares, resolving queries and communicating with clients regarding VAT/MTD retruns. You will also develop good working relationships with clients and other departments within the practice.

• Maintain accurate client bookkeeping records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
• Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and other financial accounts
• Prepare VAT/MTD returns 
• Assist with management accounts and support senior accountants with year-end accounts.
• Liaise with clients to resolve queries and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and regulations
• Assist in improving bookkeeping processes and maintaining client records
