Senior Finance Business Partner

We are recruiting a fantastic new Senior Finance Business Partner, (Fully qualified accountant), for a large international, expanding group with offices in Stoke with three days onsite and the rest remotely. It’s a value adding, commercial and analytical role, working with senior stakeholders on margin, spend, forecasting, analysis and storytelling of the numbers.

The role could either suit an experienced finance business partner or someone with a commercial head on their shoulders who has strong financial analysis, excel and communication skills.

Key areas of responsibility include:

Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Monthly forecasts and annual budgets in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive commercial reporting pack, presenting key financial and operational insights at the monthly leadership meeting
  • Build robust financial models to support new business opportunities, pricing strategies, and investment decisions.
  • Conduct variance analysis and deliver actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess business risks and opportunities.

Business Partnering & Commercial Insight

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial insight to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to evaluate customer profitability, pricing models, and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to develop and implement additional financial and non-financial KPIs to monitor business performance.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Manage financial reporting and planning relationships with Head Office.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including suppliers and consultants.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including the commercial, finance, HR and IT teams

Compliance, Reporting & Risk Management

  • Support external audits and ensure timely filing of ESG-related submissions.
  • Contribute to ESG and sustainability reporting initiatives where applicable.

Systems, Processes & Digital Transformation

  • Continue the design and implementation of streamlined management reporting using the recently implemented system.
  • Continue the automation of monthly reporting processes to meet reporting deadlines (reduce from 10 to 5 working days).
  • Project manage the implementation of key finance systems, including possible invoice scanning, expense management, and future ERP rollouts.
  • Champion data quality, governance, and the use of advanced analytics tools to enhance decision-making.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead cross-functional project teams and promote continuous improvement.
  • Take ownership of personal development and ensure completion of all mandatory training.
