Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting a Regional Financial Controller for a rapidly expanding PE backed, global business with offices near East Grinstead, hybrid with 2 days per week remote working is on offer. The role manages three direct reports and is responsible for the reporting, analysis and business partnering for the entire European Region with a total of 6 separate entities. Candidates need to be fully qualified with experience as a senior finance manager or controller with previous experience of accounting for multiple entities in order to apply.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Working closely/business partner the FD for Europe, the Business Unit FD and the local country Sales Manager, providing financial information both country specific and regional analysis.
  • Continue to develop the centralisation hub structure of the Finance function, ensuring fiscal control are in place and cross training plans developed.
  • The position will also work closely with the European HR director ensuring payroll, pension and employee benefits are in line with Group polices
  • Be fully engaged in the European budget process ensuring alignment with the local Sales Manager, VP Europe & VP Finance Director.
  • Provide financial presentation materials both monthly & quarterly highlighting areas of deviation to Plan and LY with explanation.
  • Partner to the external consultants appointed, to ensure Statutory, VAT, IntraStat & Taxation compliance for our European entities, providing, as requested, information from the finance teams.
  • Ensure all European entities provides timely financial information ensuring the business provides fit for purpose support to ensure efficiency and profitability in the region.

This is a fast paced, rapidly growing business which requires someone who can adapt in an ever-changing environment. Previous experience of project accounting and WIP would be useful in this role although certainly not essential. Previous experience of improving systems and processes and extracting data on business performance is also useful.
